NIM

REST connector test

NIM has a built-in tool for testing calls in the Connectors underlying your REST system(s). This is primarily intended for Custom REST connectors that you have created. However, you can also use it to execute one-off calls in officially-supported REST connectors such as Azure AD and Google Workspace.

To get started, Test a REST connector.

In this tool, the Function Call dropdown displays all REST calls available in the selected connector:

These calls correspond to the mapping functions available in the relevant system connector, most easily seen in the Create a mapping dialog box. (All combinations of Target tables and mapping Functions are included.)

Tip

In addition to this REST connector test tool, Tools4ever offers a more complex test suite that is particularly helpful when developing Custom connectors.

Tools4ever has developed a test suite that works with both custom PowerShell and custom REST connectors. It runs via PowerShell or in Visual Studio Code. Contact your local Tools4ever office to get access to this test suite.
