Manage connector updates

Settings guide

Keep installed connectors current without surprising the systems and workflows that depend on them.

Open Configuration > Settings > Connectors to review installed connectors, check their status, and manage updates.

Action iconPurpose
Green document with an arrow UpgradeOpens the connector upgrade screen to review the available version and release notes before confirming an upgrade.
Red table ReloadReloads the connector on the NIM Service.

Add a connectorDirect link to Add a connector

Select Add, then choose the tab that matches the connector you want to install.

Online ConnectorDirect link to Online Connector

Online Connector lists supported connectors from the Tools4ever repository.

  1. Search for and select the connector.
  2. Review Info, Release Notes, and the linked Documentation.
  3. Select Add to install it on the NIM Service.

Local ConnectorDirect link to Local Connector

Local Connector adds a custom connector to the NIM Service from a local file.

  1. Enter a Connector name.
  2. Select the … button beside File and choose the custom connector file.
  3. Select Add to install it on the service.

Upgrade a connectorDirect link to Upgrade a connector

  1. Find a connector with the yellow globe status and select its green document with an arrow action.
  2. In the upgrade screen, review the proposed version, Release Notes, and Info. Identify the systems and jobs that use the connector before proceeding.
  3. Select Confirm to apply the upgrade, then validate a non-production or controlled workflow that uses the connector.

Reload a connectorDirect link to Reload a connector

Select the connector's red table action to reload it on the NIM Service. Use the green document action when you want to install an available upgrade.

Remove unused connectorsDirect link to Remove unused connectors

Use the delete icon only after confirming no system configuration, mapping, job, or scheduled task still depends on the connector.

tip

Review connector status regularly. Keeping only supported, actively used connectors reduces operational clutter and makes upgrade planning easier.
