Configure SMS Delivery

Configuration → Settings → SMS

Enable SMS delivery for identity-verification codes and notifications, monitor available credits, and confirm users can receive messages before relying on SMS in a workflow.

NIM’s SMS service is provided by Tools4ever. Its primary use is delivering one-time passcodes (OTPs) for Onboarding and self-service password reset, where users need to verify identity before an account action can run.

Keep SMS reliableDirect link to Keep SMS reliable

  • Normalize mobile numbers before adding people to an OTP workflow. Use the +<country code><phone number> format without spaces or punctuation.
  • Include an email verification option where possible so users have a fallback if their phone cannot receive messages.
  • Monitor SMS credits as part of regular administration; replenishment is required before messages stop sending.
  • Test after changing the credit code, modifying a notification template, or introducing a new user population.
Email is configured separately
