Reset your password

End User guide

Reset a forgotten password securely without waiting for support, using the verification method your organization has configured.

At a glance

NIM self-service password reset verifies your identity before allowing a password change for an existing account. Your organization provides the password-reset link, the identifier you need to enter, and the available verification method. Complete the journey only through the approved link and use the new password only after you receive confirmation that the reset succeeded.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Open the password-reset link supplied by your organization.
  2. Enter the approved identifier requested by the page, such as your employee ID, username, or email address.
  3. Choose an available verification method when prompted.
  4. Retrieve the one-time code from the approved email or SMS message, then enter it on the password-reset page.
  5. Create a new password that meets your organization’s password requirements.
  6. Confirm the successful reset, then sign in to the affected service with the new password.

Keep your account secure

  • Enter a one-time code only on the NIM page that requested it.
  • Do not share a password, verification code, or reset link with anyone, including someone claiming to be support staff.
  • Use a password that meets the requirements shown by the reset experience.
  • If your organization requires it, set up multi-factor authentication after you regain access.

If reset does not work

Contact your NIM administrator or organization’s support team if you do not receive a verification message, the link no longer works, the identifier is not recognized, or the reset does not complete. Include the non-sensitive error message and the step where the process stopped. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, or screenshots containing personal or account information.
