Review the Webex getting started guide and OAuth integration instructions. NIM requires Client ID and Client Secret. The Redirect URI for authorization is provided on the NIM system's Connection screen.

- In NIM Studio, open Systems > Overview and add a Cisco Webex system, or select the existing system.
- Open its Connection screen and copy the Redirect URI provided by NIM.
- Sign in to the Webex Developer Portal, open My Webex Apps, and select Create a New App > Create an Integration.
- Enter the integration details and add the Redirect URI copied from NIM exactly as displayed.
- Select the read scopes needed for the data your audit will collect. Confirm that the Webex account authorizing the integration has the permissions required for that data.
- Save the integration and securely record its Client ID and Client Secret.

- Return to the Cisco Webex system's Connection screen in NIM.
- Enter the following settings and save the connection.
| NIM setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Client ID | The client identifier generated for the Webex OAuth integration. |
| Client Secret | The secret belonging to that Webex integration. |
- Start the authorization flow from NIM, sign in to Webex, and approve the requested access.
- Complete the redirect back to NIM. If authorization fails, verify the credentials, registered Redirect URI, selected scopes, and authorizing account's permissions.
Test the people endpointDirect link to Test the people endpoint
-
Select Test Connection. NIM calls:
GET /v1/peopleThis request checks access to the people endpoint.
-
Confirm that the test succeeds. If it fails, verify that OAuth authorization completed and that the integration and authorizing account can read the intended people data.
-
Collect the system and inspect people, groups, licenses, and roles, along with any other collections required for your audit.
-
Confirm that the returned data covers the intended organization and users before using it in NIM filters and reports.
The connection test checks the people endpoint. Validate access to other collections separately. This connector is read-only.
