Use SAP's Concur API setup tutorial alongside the OAuth 2.0 Application Management tool instructions and Company Request Token tool instructions.
NIM requires Geo Location URL, Company UUID, Client ID, Client Secret, and Refresh Token.
Create the OAuth applicationDirect link to Create the OAuth application
- Arrange access to the OAuth 2.0 Application Management tool with SAP Concur Client Web Services if it is not enabled for your company. Use an administrator with the Web Services Administrator role.
- Open Administration > Company > Authentication Admin > OAuth 2.0 Application Management and select Create New App.
- Complete the application details and configure grants for the company token workflow and scopes for the identity, Spend, and Travel APIs your process requires.
- Submit the application and securely record its Client ID and Client Secret.
Generate and exchange the company request tokenDirect link to Generate and exchange the company request token
- Open the Company Request Token tool, enter the application's Client ID, and submit the request.
- Record the Company UUID and Company Request Token before closing the result dialog.
- Follow the vendor's company-token exchange procedure to obtain an access token and Refresh Token using the client credentials, Company UUID, and request token. Complete this exchange within 24 hours, before the request token expires.
- Record the appropriate regional API base URL for the company's geolocation. SAP's tutorial uses
https://us.api.concursolutions.comas an example; use your company's region.
Enter the resulting refresh token in NIM. The initial Company Request Token and the short-lived access token are different values. Store all secrets securely.
Enter the connection settingsDirect link to Enter the connection settings

Test identity retrievalDirect link to Test identity retrieval
-
Select Test Connection. NIM attempts to retrieve one identity using:
GET /profile/identity/v4.1/Users?count=1 -
If the test fails, verify the regional URL, Company UUID, client credentials, refresh token, network access, and identity API authorization.
-
Collect identity, Spend, and Travel data required by your process and validate record matching and profile mappings.
-
Test each intended user lifecycle, Spend profile, Travel profile, or custom field change with safe records before enabling automation.
The connection test checks identity retrieval. Validate access to Spend and Travel APIs and intended write operations separately.
