ConnectWise ScreenConnect guide

Install the Tools4ever extension, configure the connection in NIM, and validate session retrieval.

Tools4ever provides a custom extension in the ConnectWise marketplace. You need access to the ScreenConnect Admin Portal to install and configure it.

NIM requires Tenant URL, API Key, and Extension ID. A default Extension ID is provided in the connection settings.

Open the ScreenConnect Admin Portal.
Go to Admin > Extensions.
Select Browse Extension Marketplace.
Install Tools4ever Integration.
From Extensions, edit the settings for Tools4ever Integration.
Configure ClientSecret with a randomly generated string and store it securely for the NIM connection settings.
Ensure the extension is enabled.

In NIM Studio, open Systems > Overview and add a ConnectWise ScreenConnect system, or select the existing system.
Open Connection, enter the following settings, and save.

NIM setting	Value
Tenant URL	The ScreenConnect tenant address, using the format expected by the Connection screen.
API Key	The ClientSecret configured in the Tools4ever Integration extension.
Extension ID	The identifier for the Tools4ever Integration extension. Use the provided default unless your installation requires a different value.

Select Test Connection. NIM attempts to retrieve sessions through the extension endpoint:

If the test fails, verify the Tenant URL, API Key, Extension ID, extension settings, and network access. Confirm the extension is enabled.
Collect session data and review the results in NIM before using them in filters or reports.
