Configure Connection
SQLite guide
Prepare the .NET driver, grant access to the database files, and configure and test SQLite access in NIM.

This integration requires the SQLite .NET driver on the NIM server. Ensure that the Windows account running the NIM service can access the SQLite database files and the driver.
NIM requires DLL path and Path to DB. A default DLL path is provided in the connector.
Prepare the SQLite driverDirect link to Prepare the SQLite driver
- Obtain the SQLite .NET driver package linked above and extract it to a location accessible to NIM.
- Confirm that the connector's default DLL path points to the installed driver. Update the path if the driver is installed elsewhere.
Grant the NIM service account accessDirect link to Grant the NIM service account access
- Identify the Windows account running the NIM service.
- Grant that account access to the database folder and read access to the intended database file.
- Confirm access to any associated journal, WAL, and shared-memory files used by the database. For write operations, grant the file and folder permissions required to update the database and manage these files.
SQLite may create supporting files alongside the database. See its temporary file documentation for details.
Enter the connection settingsDirect link to Enter the connection settings
- In NIM Studio, open Systems > Overview and add a SQLite system, or select the existing system.
- Open its Connection screen.
- Enter the following settings and save the connection.
| NIM setting | Value |
|---|---|
| DLL path | The path to the SQLite .NET driver DLL. Retain the connector default if it matches the installed location. |
| Path to DB | The full path to the intended SQLite database file, accessible to the NIM service account. |
Test the database connectionDirect link to Test the database connection
- Select Test Connection. NIM attempts to open a connection to the configured SQLite database file.
- Confirm that the connection opens successfully. If it fails, check the DLL path, driver files, Path to DB, and service account permissions on the database and its folder.
- Collect the system and inspect the expected tables or query results. Confirm that the configured path points to the intended database.
- Validate the collected records and matching rules before using SQLite as source or supplemental data for automation.
A successful connection test does not confirm that every query or write will succeed. Validate collection and any intended create, update, or delete operations separately.
