The Vanco ASAP integration reads education administration data into Tools4ever NIM for downstream identity provisioning. Available read collections include Students, Staff, Enrollments, Classes, Courses, and TimePeriods. Use the supported operations below to confirm the available scope for your installed connector.
Before you start: Ask Vanco ASAP Support to provision API access. Obtain the Hostname, Org ID, API Key, Username, and Password listed in the connection guide.
Verify success: The connection test retrieves students through GET /api/Students. After that test succeeds, collect the required data and inspect a known student and their related enrollment records. Test access to other collections separately.

| Step | What to verify |

| Identify the student | Select a stable student identifier. Confirm it uniquely identifies the student in the data NIM collects. |
| Relate enrollments | Inspect the student-to-enrollment relationship and the class or course data your account-selection rule uses. |
| Define eligibility | Decide which enrollments and time periods qualify a student for an account. Configure that rule in a filter rather than treating every collected student as eligible. |
| Match the target account | Use an inter-system relation to match the student identifier to the corresponding value in the destination system. |
| Validate one change | Evaluate a provisioning job for a safe test student and confirm the intended target account change. |
The documented connector operations are reads. Account changes take place through the selected downstream system's connector and mappings; they do not write student records back to Vanco ASAP.
