Select and order filter columns

Shape the result

Keep the fields a workflow needs, then place them in an order that makes the result easy to inspect.

After choosing the records, review the output columns. A relation item can add fields from another table, and a JavaScript column can calculate a new value. Select the fields your mapping, role, job, or app needs before saving the filter.

Select columns to returnDirect link to Select columns to return

  1. Edit the filter and open Columns selection.
  2. Select the checkbox for each column to include; clear it for each column to exclude.
  3. Open Data, select Filter, and inspect the columns in the Result pane.
  4. Keep stable identifiers and any fields used by downstream consumers, then select Save.

Excluding a column changes this filter's output; it does not remove the field from the source system. When grouping is enabled, grouped output columns replace the columns chosen here.

  1. Open the filter's Columns Specification tab.
  2. Drag a column's Order Handle in the Columns pane to its new position.
  3. Open Data, select Filter, and confirm the order in the Result pane.
  4. Select Save.

Column order makes previews and exports easier to read. It is separate from row sorting, which changes the order of records.
