Group and aggregate filter results
Filter aggregation
Turn repeated records into a summarized result for reporting, dashboards, notifications, and review.
Grouping is useful when a filter returns repeated values from one-to-many or many-to-many data—for example, license assignments, group memberships, or employee-to-department assignments. A grouped filter can return the number of users assigned to each license instead of every individual assignment.

count | The number of rows in each group. |
script | A custom JavaScript calculation over the grouped data. |
Select an interpretation that matches the data—text, numeric, date, boolean, or other—then choose its available operation. For example, text values can return the first, last, or concatenated value; numeric values can return a sum, average, minimum, or maximum.

- Select Sorting to order the grouped result by any returned column.
- Choose ascending or descending direction, arrange the priority of multiple criteria, and choose how missing values are treated.

The data type must be compatible with its interpretation. For example, a text value cannot use numeric operations such as sum or average.
