Create and test a filter

Start here

Choose the starting records, add the rules they must satisfy, and inspect the result before saving.

For the full decision path, see Filters. The first version can use just a start table and one expression; add relations, lookups, or output options when the result needs them.

  1. Go to Processing > Filters.
  2. Select Add, enter a descriptive Filter Name, and select Create.
  3. Select the Start Table that contains the records you want to evaluate.

Use a name that explains the resulting population, such as Active employees or Users missing Entra accounts.

Use a child filter when a narrower population should inherit another filter's criteria.
