Choose tables to collect

Select the object types NIM needs for the workflow you are building—then collect only what adds value.

Each available table represents an object type exposed by the system’s connector. Tables can include people, accounts, groups, memberships, departments, job titles, or other connector-specific records. Learn more about data tables.

Start with the outcome you need rather than selecting every available table.

Assign group access from organizational dataEmployees, groups, memberships, and the organizational reference tables that determine access.
Reconcile or match identitiesThe account or employee tables in each system, including stable identifier columns.
Report on directory membershipUsers, groups, and memberships.
Collect the minimum useful setEvery selected table adds data to collect, store, and validate. Begin with the tables needed by the current workflow. You can return and add tables as requirements expand.

  1. Go to Systems > Overview.
  2. Select Configure for the system.
  3. Open the Configuration tab.
  4. In Available Tables, select the tables to include in collection.
  5. Select Save.

  1. Collect and load the system.
  2. Confirm the selected tables are present and contain the expected records.
  3. Continue with Choose columns to collect for each table you plan to use.
tip

If a table does not appear in Available Tables, it is not exposed by the current connector configuration. Check the connector’s integration page for supported data and configuration guidance.
