Backup & restore
NIM's backup and restore functionality lets you export and import your entire NIM environment via a single JSON file. This includes all objects (systems, filters, mappings, jobs, etc.) and settings. It creates a "snapshot" of your NIM environment.
To get started, Create a backup or Restore a backup.
Danger
The restore procedure overwrites your entire current NIM environment, including all systems, filters, mappings, jobs, etc.
Before restoring a previous backup, you should always Create a backup of your current environment.
Connectors are not part of the backup, consider the version of the connectors that are installed. Also, connector cloud vs local connectors and ensure they are exported as need as well
It is not possible to selectively restore objects from a backup. However, certain objects can be separately imported & exported. Follow these tutorials to do so:
