Import or export a system

Import a system

Import a system that you previously exported, to restore or duplicate it.

  1. Go to Systems > Overview.

  2. Click Import.

  3. For Select File, select a .json file that you previously exported.

  4. Enter a value for the System Name.

  5. Click Import.

  6. The imported system is added to NIM and appears in the Configured Systems pane.

  7. Collect and load a system for this system.

Export a system

Export a system to back it up to a JSON file.

To instead back up your entire NIM environment, see Backup & restore.

  1. Go to Systems > Overview.

  2. Click export-system-configuration.png Export Configuration for the system.

  3. The .json backup file is downloaded in your browser.

Note

Exports include a system's configuration, but not its its collected data.
