NIM

Create, restore, or remove a backup

For more information, see Backup & restore.

  1. Go to Configuration > Settings.

  2. Go to the Backup & Restore tab.

  3. Click Add.

  4. A new backup appears in the Repositories pane.

  5. Click download-repository.png Download Repository to download the backup file in JSON format.

  1. Go to Configuration > Settings.

  2. Go to the Backup & Restore tab.

  3. Optional: To upload a JSON backup file:

    1. Click Import.

    2. Select the JSON file to upload.

    3. Click Import.

      Caution

      If you upload a backup file from a different Host (i.e., a different server), you will need to re-enter the NIM password for that host.

    4. The uploaded backup appears in the Repositories pane.

  4. Click restore-repository.png Restore Repository for the backup you want to restore.

    Danger

    The restore procedure overwrites your entire current NIM environment, including all systems, filters, mappings, jobs, etc.

    Before restoring a previous backup, you should always Create a backup of your current environment.

  5. Click Yes.

  6. The backup is restored. All resources in your current NIM configuration are overwritten.

  1. Go to Configuration > Settings.

  2. Go to the Backup & Restore tab.

  3. Click remove-backup.png Remove Backup for the relevant backup.

  4. Click Yes.
